How to finish amigurumi?
A closed crochet piece is designed to be entirely self-contained. To put it differently, once it's completed, there should be no opening for adding stuffing. Typically, a round closed piece concludes with a series of decrease stitches. Despite finishing this final round, there is often still a hole in the center of the piece. Watch the video below to discover how to stitch up this opening and securely weave in your yarn ends to maintain the stability of your crochet work:
HOW TO FINISH OFF AMIGURUMI (STEP-BY-STEP WITH PHOTOS)
1. Complete the final stitch and trim the yarn, leaving a yarn tail of at least 6 inches in length.
2. Withdraw the remaining loop until none remains.
3. Thread a needle with the yarn tail. In the presence of a gap within the ball, insert the needle through the front loops of each stitch from the bottom to the top. Tightly pull with each pass of the needle through a loop.
4. Conceal the yarn tail within the piece by guiding the needle through the center of the recently closed circle and emerging at another point on the piece.
